Operation Kappa
Operation Kappa was a classified DAF research programme that entered a domain associated with the @[Memory Crack](entry:a1c51d2d-6348-5ac9-8d06-7132484532e5). Publicly it belonged to the late-war family of ambitious failed projects; surviving evidence suggests it encountered a reality in which remembered places resist change.
Memory domain
Buildings remain abandoned but do not collapse normally. Paint peels, meals wait on tables and cities persist in suspended continuity. Geometry folds: doors may open onto mountains, fog-filled cities or spaces larger than the structures containing them.
ILLUMINATORS expedition
A DAF squad entered to restore contact with a research site after radio silence. Communications failed, the formation was hunted by entities called @stalkers and Commander Adrian was gradually left alone.
Interpretation
It remains uncertain whether the domain is another dimension, a self-contained field region or a spatial fold generated by Ūrkléan's memory. @The Figure and its relation to long-term planetary burden saturation remain open.
Suppression
DAF quietly abandoned Kappa and buried it with other megaproject failures. The programme demonstrates that cracks can produce environments governed by the function they expose, not merely sources of magical power.
