Great Cataclysm

The Great Cataclysm was the collapse of known Uclean civilisation in 634 AFK after the three factions of the Three-Way War attempted to use separate cracks as absolute political solutions.

Restorationist project

Allied-Crowns restorationists tried to seal the Crack of @[Change](entry:8e876a0e-c6ec-595d-ab34-9192cf55b9fd) so that nothing could alter again. Participants became unchanging, deteriorating beings whose consciousness narrowed to reclamation and restoration.

Loyalist reactor

DAF loyalists built a pressure reactor in an abandoned Dverg hall. It produced devastating shockwaves before accumulated pressure collapsed the mountain complex.

Kestrel opening

Revolutionaries opened the @Crack of Life to air, sunlight and nature. Growth escaped control: forests engulfed cities, roots broke infrastructure and living systems absorbed people and buildings.

Systemic collapse

Railways, power, communications and food distribution failed together. Modern knowledge survived in fragments, but the population density and division of labour needed to operate factories, hospitals and semiconductor lines disappeared.

Burden crisis

Mass death reduced every active burden-bearing population and deposited filtered burden into the ground. Survivors aged faster and suffered severe current-specific illness until births slowly recovered.
