King Hildegard

King Hildegard was the Dires member of the Five Kings and the immortal bearer of Emotion during the Noble Era.

Kingship

Like the other Kings, King Hildegard began as an anchor who helped stabilise the chaotic Mortal Era. Longevity prevented the ordinary release of death and allowed burden failure to accumulate across centuries.

Decline

The ruler's deterioration expressed a distorted form of Emotion: became governed by fear and overwhelming feeling and died while fleeing the final battle.

Fall and memory

Public accounts of the ruler's death differ by national and political tradition. The exact split between factual burden failure, revolutionary propaganda and later moral story remains open.
