Montaxi

Montaxi is a large, sparsely populated state on the southern and western coasts of the eastern continent.

Older kingdom

The name derives from a pre-Fall Dverg–Dire kingdom that once extended toward the Krasnarusian Mountains. Dires provided farming, lumber and trade while Dvergr managed minerals and underground engineering.

Modern state

Later Umbrothan settlement, Dverg withdrawal and cultural mixing changed who the name referred to. Modern Montaxi is human-dominated without representing an uninterrupted ethnic succession.

Politics and economy

The state is self-sustaining, inward-looking and rarely central to continental politics. It fights in its mountains and sometimes joins Allied-Crowns operations but avoids permanent subordination.
