Valkrun

Valkrun was a Dverg duchy beneath the mountains south of the Dark Forest.

Eleven halls

Its eleven halls were famous enough that refugees treated them as a guaranteed sanctuary. They instead found sealed gates and no sign of life.

Exodus route

Narrow cave roads and mountain exits channelled caravans into predictable ambushes. One representative Umbrothan column lost about half its remaining carts there.

Dverg withdrawal

The sealed halls contributed to the later human belief that the Dvergr had vanished or become extinct.
