Fall of the Five Kings

The Fall of the Five Kings was the destruction of the Noble Era political order in 0 AFK. A multi-people rebellion led by Gelena Andreassen reached the Castle of the Kings, where the five rulers died, disappeared or transformed. Gwildor's final curse immediately turned Aelven forces against their former allies and began the Forever War.

Rebellion

The uprising formed after the Kings withdrew from ordinary society and concentrated resources in their own courts and fortifications. Gelena's movement framed resistance as restoration of balance rather than rejection of Ūrkléan. Human, Aelven, Dverg, Dire and Drywid forces fought together against Orcnea armies created by the Kings.

Final battle

The battle lasted for weeks. Dverg forces opened the Lower Gate; Dire traditions emphasise civilian evacuation; Erell transformed into the immense tree still standing in the courtyard. Halindor reached Gwildor in the high tower and killed him before or during a final speech. The exact sequence differs sharply between surviving legends.

Curse and first fighting

Gwildor's curse fixed the command to eliminate all other consciousness into the Aelven lineage. Elven formations turned on Mankin almost immediately, producing the first battle of the Forever War inside the fallen complex. Mixed populations fled through tunnels, roads and sea crossings.

Historiography

No objective narrative survives. Gelena-centred revolutionary legends, Halindor's uncertain role, Dverg duty accounts and Dire evacuation stories preserve different truths. Later pageants compress them into one coherent national story.
