King Gwildor

King Gwildor was the Aelven member of the Five Kings and the immortal bearer of Memory during the Noble Era.

Kingship

Like the other Kings, King Gwildor began as an anchor who helped stabilise the chaotic Mortal Era. Longevity prevented the ordinary release of death and allowed burden failure to accumulate across centuries.

Decline

The ruler's deterioration expressed a distorted form of Memory: sought a world preserved in one perfect state and used his final Kaz-granted power to curse the Aelven lineage.

Fall and memory

Public accounts of the ruler's death differ by national and political tradition. The exact split between factual burden failure, revolutionary propaganda and later moral story remains open.
