The Throat of Men is the only practical mountain passage between @Callandor and the eastern continent and the birthplace of the Allied Crowns.

Refugee camp

Around 2 AFK it was not a great wall but a basin filled with tents, carts, workshops, ditches, kitchens and counting tables. Arriving refugees provided labour, food, skills and defenders.

Public myth

Later histories claim that humanity built a monumental fortress during the Exodus and that it never fell.

Hidden fall

Around 200 AFK, forces released from the @[Dark Forest Wars](entry:68a90716-da1a-5368-a6a6-0d6306d2807e) overwhelmed young and complacent defenders. Aelven armies entered the lands later called Larolar for several decades. Leaders concealed the breakthrough and converted the panic-control lie into national history.
