Duchia

Duchia is the largest eastern state by land area and the economic centre of the late Forever War world. It occupies the northwest of the eastern continent around a large inland bay and is ruled in the modern period by King @Bas III.

Geography

Northern Duchia reaches cold tundra; central regions are forested; the lands south of the inland sea have a milder maritime climate. Uarayania lies close to its northern shore.

Origins and political culture

Metrilburger refugee descendants become major founders of the state. Duchian ideology presents the country as the natural organiser and protector of human civilisation. This assumed centrality underlies its leadership of the Allied Crowns and control over dependent neighbours.

Economy

Duchia is the civilian economic core and the second-largest arms producer after Krasnarus. Finance, industry and transport ownership extend Duchian influence beyond its borders, especially in Solerae and Maritimia.

Foreign policy

Duchia supports the northern Niakupubliczstani regime against the socialist south and treats Krasnarusian influence as an ideological threat. It later becomes a central component of Omega while retaining royal institutions that re-emerge during the Three-Way War.
